All in the family…Baby Bridget | Brantford Photographer

So right before we closed for summer break, this momma contacted me about her newborn baby girl asking for a session. I just couldn’t say no and  I squeezed them in the day before vacation started. I’m so glad I did! I briefly met this couple when I photographed daddy’s brother’s twin boys. They happened to be visiting the day of the session and they showed up just as I was cleaning up. The rest is history :D

“She doesn’t really sleep that much.” Not exactly the words a newborn photographer wants to hear, but we always go with baby’s flow. And since she was two weeks old already, we figured we’d get what we could get. Luckily, she e v e n t u a l l y fell into a deep sleep, and then she pretty much let me do what I wanted. Yay! Including some props I’ve had for a while but haven’t gotten to use yet. Mommy and Daddy were quite surprised she ended up sleeping so hard, and I’m sure she kept them up all night afterwards! It was worth it though…which is what I always tell parents. Especially when they’ve just been peed on. But that didn’t happen this time, lucky dad! Thank you so much for coming; it was great having you!

This is the first time I got some shots of the outfit baby arrived in…but she was sleeping in the carseat and her outfit matched the setup so I took advantage of the situation! She woke up when we undressed her though…

This is one of the handmade blankets Bridget was given…LOVED it.

No one could believe how much she loved this bucket. Dad joked about bringing it home for nap times!

Safety first! She is only about 2″ from the floor, and hubby is handholding the basket. I painted out the floor after and took away him and his shadow.
