Lindsy and Rob Post Wedding Shoot | Guelph Photographer

I hope with all my heart that you have one of those friends, that no matter how long it’s been since you’ve seen them, or even spoken, that you can be with them like no time has passed at all. Lindsy is mine. We have been friends since elementary school, when her dad was my fifth and sixth grade teacher {no, I didn’t repeat…it was a small country school ;D}. We connected again in university; she was my TA in Psychology and I could not have passed Statistics without her. For a few years as grown-ups we lived within visiting distance, but that was about 10 years ago. We’ve had only one visit since then, so we were due!

I was supposed to attend her second reception in Peterborough and do a post-wedding shoot for her and her new husband Rob, but scheduling conflicts forced us to Guelph instead. I had never been to the U of Guelph campus, and was happy to find that it was beautiful and gave us several great backdrops for shooting. We roamed around campus for about two hours, toting a suitcase with my props in it, and a bunch of red balloons. Have you ever tried to order red balloons after Canada Day? Yeah, well order in advance ;D And, if you get more than a few {like, say, 8}, and expect to be outside, make sure you ask for a heavier weight so they don’t get blown away on you! I chased them more than a few times. Lindsy was sporting some wicked red heels, they hadn’t eaten supper, and this was after a day exploring African Lion Safari! What troopers they were, and can I just say it was a nice break from small running bodies or getting peed on ;D Rob used to do acting, so he was great to strike whatever pose struck my fancy!

As usual, I ended up with too many shots, but here are some of my faves for you. Thank you guys, it was such a good time! And Lindsy, until we meet again, my dear friend
