Baby R was here Wednesday afternoon and it was a delight to finally meet her! Her parents were in the Nest before Christmas for a fabulous maternity session and we’ve been waiting on her since. At two weeks old, I was a little worried Miss R would already be uncurling. Especially when Mama and Daddy reported how much she likes to be awake during the day…and sure enough she was awake when she arrived, despite a good car ride. However, she surprised us all! After trying to get the madonna (parent and baby) poses she started to fuss and once I wrapped her up off to dreamland she went. She stayed good and sleepy for the next two hours. I got to try something I’d been thinking of for a while (Mr. Dragon below) and I also did lots of purple to match her beautiful nursery. How good she was to me! Here are the portraits to prove it:
She has an adorable frowny sleep face…whenever I ask where babes get that from, Mamas always say Daddy!
In this one she is wearing the necklace that Daddy gave to Mama…it has Miss R’s birthstone in it. Tear!
